Leg #7 - May 23, 2008 - Arriving at Apple-Cade, Winchester, Virginia.

The Gnome made his secret journey with Honda John to Apple-Cade in Winchester, Virginia, where he was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of admirers who celebrated with much fanfare, song and dance. He was then passed on to Jerry, aka - "BlkPirate" who is rumored to be a distant relative of the Gnome. (note the resemblance) Jerry has taken charge of the Gnome for the next leg of his journey. It is expected that he will head west in the footsteps (or tire tracks) of his brother before him, to seek out new adventures and spread his cheer and good will.

Here is Honda John arriving with the Gnome (in his mystical satchel). John is seen here in deep meditation, chanting the ceremonial prayer for the opening of the mystic satchel.

 

Here is the handoff to Jerry.

 

Here is cause to believe that Jerry may be a distant relative to the Gnome, for he is seen here exhibiting a secret Gnome family ritual of stroking the Gnomes cap for good luck... and a little mystical stimulation.

 

And to make it official, Jerry continues to sing to and serenade the Gnome, making him feel comfortable and at peace with his new brethren.

 

Everyone is dancing and singing!

 

The Gnome looks happy!

 

The Gnome was said to have spent the night with a few of his companions.
